DelDOT Archived Plans
These files are the listings for each county of DelDOT's electronically archived plans. Lists of projects obtained from other sources, such as DelDOT's VAX system or personal lists, should not be used when requesting archived plans since they are not accurate. Only the first sheet of each set is in this report. When you find the contract(s) that you are interested in, contact DelDOT with the county, road number and contract number for each contract, and whether you want files or prints (full-size or half-size). Depending on the number of contracts requested and the grand total of megabytes for all the files, the files may be emailed to you or mailed on a CD. There is a charge for CD's and/or prints plus the cost of postage and materials. Due to the number of contracts on each road, you must choose particular contracts. Please refer to DelDOT's Traffic Summary Report to aid you in finding the road number when you know the name of a street or the route number. Note that the route number is often not the same as the road number; e.g., Route 286 is road number 433. Also, the same road might have sections with different road numbers; e.g. Route 141 is composed of road numbers 6, 267 and 271. If you are uncertain about whether a particular contract is in the area you need, you can initially request to be sent just the first sheet which usually includes the location map showing the limits of the contract. Please note that for more recent projects, the right-of-way plans are separate from the construction plans, as indicated by files that begin with "rw". If you are only interested in the right-of-way plans, then please indicate that, which will make delivery to you quicker and less expensive. Due to Homeland Security concerns, requests for plans for bridges, large structures and sensitive areas must include the full name, address and phone number of the person making the request, along with the company that they work for, the project/work for which the information is needed, and the name of the client. If the project is being done for DelDOT, then the name of the DelDOT project manager/contact must also be included. This information will be kept in DelDOT's records. These requests may be denied if the information supplied is incomplete or questionable.
